October 2013

It is our objective to pursue the Stud's motto - "Preserving the heritage. Exploring potential for the future" - in particular, exploring the future potential by introducing bloodlines previously not available in Australia. With this in mind, it was time to head to the UK for the Royal Welsh and to visit a number of Studs.

Attending the Royal Welsh is something us Welsh Breeders & enthusiasts live and breathe for. The numbers across all sections of Welsh Ponies & Cobs is beyond belief and is nothing short of breathtaking. We will share some of our photos at a later date.

At this point in time, we're proud to announce the purchase of two lovely females to join our mare collection.

Idyllic Aurora (UK) 2004 mare. Sire: Idyllic Entrepreneur. Dam: Idyllic Fonteyn. SOS: Pendock Legend. SOD: Pendock Legend. Aurora was Reserve Champion Female at The Royal Show. Only shown three times as an Adult Open Mare and was awarded Supreme Champion each time. She is a Bronze Medal winner in the UK. Her Dam Idyllic Fonteyn has been twice Royal Champion at the Royal Welsh. Her sire Idyllic Entrepreneur, is one of the UK's leading stallions. This lovely mare will be put in foal to Lacy Buzbee (UK) before heading to Australia later this year.

Colne Tsvetana (UK) 2010 filly. Sire: Nanedywyll Telor. Dam: Colne Tatiana. SOD: Pendock Legend. This filly has had a successful show career in the UK. She's picked up many a Supreme Champion along the way, as well as being a WPCS Medal winner. Being out of the Royal Welsh Show mare Colne Tatiana, who's the dam of the outstanding sires Turbo, Taboo & Torpedo. Tatiana is also the Grand Dam of last year's Royal Welsh Youngstock Champion Colne Tornado. This filly is currently being served by Lacey Buzbee.

We would like to thank everyone that we visited in the UK & Wales for their warm hospitality and for being so generous with their time spent with us. Special thanks to Sandy Anderson and his partner Georgina of Thistledown Stud, Richard Miller and Meirion Davies of Heniarth Stud, Mark, Liz Kilby and Lesley of Idyllic Stud. A special mention of thanks must go to Tom Best and David Blair of Waxwing Stud for all their help - we are so very grateful.

Watch this space for news of further likely imports to add to our female line.

We are currently investigating the possibility of importing male genetics in the form of a stallion/colt or in the form of frozen semen. We'll keep you updated with our progress.

December 2012

NSW Youngstock All Breeds Show :: Arcadian Enforcer made his second show appearance and walked away with Champion Colt.

With many wins through the spring our horses are having a break over the middle part of December and January, we look forward to catching up in the new year.

We aim to have our 2012 foal photos up on our site hopefully by the end of February 2013.

November 2012

Northern Regional Show Tamworth :: It’s always a pleasure to travel to Tamworth and we went with a very strong team.  The yearling colt Arcadian Enforcer (Imperial Baledur x Osory Lady in Red) took out the Champion Colt award.  Creswell Wild Fire won the 3 year old filly class and continued with Champion Filly.  Our two yearling fillies Arcadian Dreams Come True and Arcadian Andromeda were 1st and 2nd in the competitive yearling filly class.  Julie Casson had a great show with Arcadian Symphony and Arcadian Shadir having success.  Osory Daylight won the broodmare class, Champion Mare, Supreme Welsh A and the eventual Supreme Welsh of Show.

October 2012

NSW All Welsh :: Champion Colt Armanii Park Robin Hood (Osory Mr Sandman x Creswell Ariel) who was then sashed Supreme Welsh Youngstock and the eventual Supreme Welsh in Hand Exhibit.  Champion Filly was our 3 year old Creswell Wild Fire (Osory Mr Sandman x Osory Lady in Red).  Our other two fillies Arcadian Destiny and Arcadian Andromeda placed 2nd and 4th respectively in a very strong yearling filly class.

July 2012

The NSW All Breeds Foal Show saw a stunning colt by our stallion Osory Mr Sandman, Armanii Park Robin Hood take out Supreme Led Welsh Exhibit of the Show.

January 2012

We attended the Welsh National Show in Victoria where once again the Arcadian Bloodlines came to the top with Park Arielle (Osory Mr Sandman x Creswell Ariel) being awarded the Supreme Champion Welsh Mountain Pony Exhibit, an outstanding effort for this yearling filly.  Arcadian Amakila, a foal out of Creswell Ace of Spades by Imperial Baledur received 1st in the foal class.

Foal Purchases
Our 2011 crop of foals exceeded all of our expectations and many of them have now found new homes.  Julie Casson purchased Arcadian Symphony and Arcadian Shadir along with the broodmare Tinkerbelle in foal to Sandman.  Arcadian Spirit, a very smart colt was purchased by Alice Clarke and now lives on the NSW south coast.

October 2011

NSW All Welsh with Creswell the Conqueror (Imperial Baledur x Osory Daylight) gaining the Champion Colt title.  Later Conqueror was sold to the Bramley of Bellingara Stud and we are confident he will do an outstanding job for them.

August 2011

Brisbane Royal Show was the start of our season and we presented Creswell Chicago (Sandman x Creswell Anastasia) who went on to be awarded Reserve Champion Welsh Pony Stallion or Colt.  On his arrival home, Chicago was sold to Jill Medveczky. We wish Jill all the best with him.  Accompanying Chicago is a Creswell mare who is currently in foal to Imperial Nirvana.
